My fans await...

... at least that is what my momma tells me.  Apparently taking a month off from my blog is not sitting well with my momma's momma.
So...
...this morning was a little rough.  The Big Guy left the house early and came back smelling like the park. Then he and my momma were getting ready to leave me and I was having no part of it.  I snuck into the garage when they weren't looking because if I get in there then I figure I have increased my chance of getting taken along with one of them.
But instead my momma got very stern with me and put me back in the house.  Not cool, momma, not cool.

This wiener blog has become...

...a boxer blog lately.

Kacy went to the boxer doctor yesterday to get her ear sewed up and when the Big Guy went to pick her up she was on a table covered up with blankets and a needle in her leg.  Then he had to drive her over to the very special boxer hospital that she stayed in for a week last year.  She had to stay overnight so the very special boxer nurses could look after her.  Kain and I are wondering what the heck is going on.

WARNING!! If you are at all queasy about dogs and wounds don't scroll down

Kacy finally came home yesterday wearing a cone and a few extra stitches as well as a gaping hole in her ear.  Here she is the first time her ear started to swell up.
This was at less than half the size it eventually swelled up to.  Not once but twice.  Yes, that's right 2 surgeries for the same ear.  She is an ear-flappin' kinda girl.
This is what she and it look like now - remember I warned you.
The Big Guy has to clean it every night because my momma isn't nearly as brave as he is. And Kacy still has to go back to the boxer doctor in a couple days to get that hole stapled shut.  Ouch.

Someday my Big Butt...

...will come home.

The boxer doctor had to fix Kacy's ear.  Again. And this time Kacy had to stay at the hospital for three nights because the doctor didn't like how everything was looking.

I hope she comes home today because Kain is acting all wierd. Like he misses Kacy, or something.

Our regular Sunday morning drive...

...turned into an awfully long test of my social skills.
We went and got the green milk and then the DEElicious sausage (NOT a wiener) wrapped in a bun with some cheese.  And we started driving like usual but this time when we got out of the car I got put on the leash and we stood around and watched some humans running by.
Then after a few hours we walked across a field and all I heard was "ahhh, look at the wiener"  "isn't he cute".  They don't know that I only want to hear that from humans I know.
Some short humans kept petting me but one little girl just wiped sand on my head.  I don't know where she learned how to pet a wiener but I think she needs more lessons.

I was really tired when we finally got home and I am still a little tired this morning.
Me and Kain are holding down the fort because Kacy went to see the doctor again.  Who knew an ear could get so fat?

More Kacy problems...

...poor Big Butt went to see the doctor yesterday and she came home with stitches on her knee and stitches on her elbow and some stitches on her ear.  She was all loopy and walking funny.
My momma said she should stay in her kennel for a little while so that she can recuperate without hurting herself.
Kain went and sniffed her up and down as soon as she came home but I think I'll keep my distance until that smell wears off.  It makes me nervous.

Something amazing happened to me...

... I think I might actually like strangers who are quiet and ignore me until I am ready to be their friend.

My momma and the Big Guy put me on the leash and I thought I was going for a walk but instead some strange lady took the leash from my momma.  And then they left!!! No goodbye. Nothin'.  But because I was on the leash I knew what the rules were and I knew that I had to listen.

So after a few hours of being on high alert I figured out the lady was going to be okay so I tried out her lap for a short nap.

Then that night I slept in bed with her but on the pillow beside her head.  Just in case I had to abort and get under the bed quick.

But then the next day went so well that when it was time to go to bed I forgot all about being nervous and even slept under the covers right next to her.  She didn't seem to mind.

Kain and Kacy thought it was great going for walks all the time.  And it was so easy sticking to the schedule that we know so well.

Don't get me wrong....I was extremely happy to see my momma and the Big Guy when they finally decided to come home.  But I do hope they invite that lady back for another sleepover.

A sad, sad day for dogs.

My family, the best dog loving family in the world, had to say goodbye to Sheba yesterday.  Sheba was actually Sheba II and she was such a good dog that her humans can't ever remember taking her to the doctor for anything other than her shots.  Sheba always listened to her humans.  She always knew which one to go to for treats or for fun or for love.  Sheba loved to go for car rides but really hated the wipers.  When Maggie came to live with the family she soon found out what everyone (even me) already knew...Sheba was the Queen.

My human was very sad and cried because everytime she went back home for the past 15 years Sheba was always happy to see her.

RIP Sheba Carlson.

This is not good weather for...

...weenies.
It's lightning and thundering so much the glasses are rattling in the cupboards.  I don't like it.  I wish my momma would just sit down and let me huddle on her lap under a blanket.

It's 2012!!

Time flies when you are having fun.  I turned 6 in September but my momma and I just shared our 6 year anniversary together right after Christmas.  I remember the day a nice lady (my momma) picked me up and didn't put me down until I got to my new home in Calgary.  Now here we are in Houston with the Big Guy and Big Butt and my Big Brother who moved in with us last year.
We are living the dream.  Travelling around as a pack.  Getting treats and belly rubs.  Oh 2012 is gonna be good.
